DIED: April 3, 1682 in Sevilla, Spain.

INTERESTING FACTS:
In 1642, Murillo moved to Madrid. There he became familiar with Velázquez, Titian, Rubens, and Van Dyck.
After moving back to Sevilla in 1645, Murillo painted several series for the monastery and the Seville Cathedral.
In 1660, Murillo was one of the founders and first presidents of the Academia de Bellas Artes in Sevilla.
NOTABLE WORKS:
The Holy Family, The Immaculate Conception, Annunciation, and A Girl and Her Duenna.
